Fanboy & Chum Chum intro

Here's a video link to the intro that was posted on flickr a little while ago. It's not the final version and is missing various elements, but you can get the gist of it. I'm really proud of what we all created. I guarantee the squash n' stretch and overall "cartooniness" of the cg animation in this series will impress even the harshest of animation geeks!

Update!

I'm currently an art director at Nickelodeon working on Fanboy and Chum Chum. I can't really post anything I've done on here yet, as it won't be premiering until November. But, there's a ton of stuff I've done that is posted on the official Fanboy blog, so check it out!

Futurama Premiere!

Last night was the premiere of the first (of four) Futurama DVD's to be released called "Bender's Big Score." When the movie first started there were a some technical difficulties and a few times they stopped the movie (on account of some sound drop-outs.) Normally that'd be annoying, but not when the voice talent is sitting in the audience! As soon as it'd go dark you'd hear John Di Maggio (Bender) shouting out all sorts of things in character-- genius!

At any rate, since I worked on the movie as a color stylist (bgs/props/characters), I was happy to see that the color held up pretty good on the massive Cinerama dome screen- whew!

I'm still here

Welp, since my last post I've gotten married (honeymooned in Ireland) and have working like a daawg at my latest gig. Time to start postin' again... Here's a red neck (experimenting with technique on this one) to kick things off.

Fanboy!

Not too long ago, I had the privilege of working with a fine fella by the name of Eric Robles on his Frederator short, Fanboy. Here's a link to his blog that's got one of my BG's/prop color samples along with some amazing board samples by Andy Kelly and some other cool sketches:
